Bob, it was a matter of brain fade.  I simply forgot to blimp for the bank. Three or four times hitting the wall real hard did in my chassis.

Hey Mike, DZ and Gator Bob, thanks for the comments on the chassis.
My inspiration came from one of Kamo-san's i saw a while back.

Looking forward to trying it out at the Viper Pit later this month.

Willy & Dawn did a great job hosting thier first GRRR race at Slot Car Raceway of Pinellas and thanks to all the turn martials that volunteered for us racers.

Gator Bob I raced the Orange 17 car. I loaned the pink 17 to a very young great racer, Dylan. Dylan has only raced a total of maybe 8-10 races ever. He took ahold of the controller like a new fish does to water. This kid has natural talent. So I asked him if he wanted to race one that day, his reply was I don't have one. I told him I had a couple backup cars ready to race. So the very first time he ran a retro car he was running in the 5.0 range. I was running in the 5.1 range in practice. So the rest is history.

Ken Smith won concours with his Blue and Gold Lola. The photo was taken with Dawn's camera, but the photo cannot be found. I am working on getting a picture from Ken and will post it up when it arrives.

I gave up on trying to beat Danny and Bisquit 30 years ago, so I try to beat up on Greg Walker to get even. Lol. They are too good and too young. I don't have the motivation or energy to trash like they do at the track. No more all night thrashes with hot coffee cold pizza and the stones at 130db. Now it is simply for fun.. I won enough, let the kids win. Lol....

We need a Jurassic class. 62 and over. Maybe an idea to try at the big races. They did it in rc at the big Cleveland race but set 40 as the cutoff. The problem is the cut off is now too low and a lot of the really good guys are now that age and can race in it and they are as good as the kinda. I bet it would work in retro. We have a bunch of old farts that come out and support all the races but have no chance because of age to every win or have a shot of making the main. Maybe it is something we will try at our big race we are planning next year either inn Florida or the viper pit. Oops that is suppose to be a secret....

Hey Tony, If we set the age at 62 or older, we would have three racers, you, me and Terry....

Hey Tony,

We used to have a Geezer class in the MySeries.  We also had Novices which we need now.  How about issuing licenses based on age and skill levels so we can get some new enthusiasts into Retro.  No qualifying would be necessary then.  When you reach a certain pre-determined skill level at a certain criteria based on facts like lap times and number of laps turned during official events at all raceways.  I have your 10 pr. of alum. stoppers.  See you at the Viper Pit.

Best Regards,

Greg Walker
