"If you do not speak English, I am at your disposal with 187 other languages along with their various dialects and sub-tongues."
"Colloquial English will do fine, thank you. Uh, this is no offense, but, you are a robot, aren't you?"
"That is correct, sir. For your convenience, I am monitored to respond to the name "Robby."
One of my favorite old movies; even at the age of eight or nine, when it played on TVs "Million Dollar Movie" (WWOR channel 9 in NYC), I simply HAD to know what the word "colloquial" meant.
Even so, at $7,000 with 26 bids and still 11 hours to go, this auction is in a league populated almost entirely by cold speculators whose interest in this child's toy is vastly different than mine. Or apparently yours, unless you already are or plan to secretly become one of the bidders.
At any rate, thanks for the heads-up!

"Hey, Doc, is it a male or a female?"
"In my case sir, the question is totally without meaning."
Nevertheless:
"Robby, I must have a new dress, right away."
"Again...??".
Is that a poor copy of Rodin's "St. John the Baptist Preaching" in the background? Sure looks like it.
You may rest assured Robby was acutely aware of the differences between men and women.
You need an "Altaira" action figure to keep Robby company, like this:

No need, I have been married to Altaira for 36 years now!

Wow...I had two of these when I was a kid. My parents bought me a lot of this stuff when I was growing up ( I was a geek, even then). Sure wish I had at least one of them now..lol. That's a lot of scratch for a toy...
