Thanks for the schedule update.

Do you have times for when the raceway opens and Tech begins?

Thanks...

Hey ya all,

There are lots of events to choose from over a four-day period... great opportunity to practice and race with some of the best slot racers of ALL time. To Mike and the IRRA™, thanks for the schedule.

Yes, Retro Stock Cars would be nice. Also Fri start time would be nice if it was in the PM so people could go after work to the event.

Pat, with the amount of normal entries at this event starting "after work" would have us finish sometime around 5 AM on Saturday morning. That's why at all the premier events we try to space out the racing over the three days so we can get it all in, leave a great bench racing party, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The three classes being run for points are the main classes (RetroPro is not) so to try and stick in a Stock Car race too is just too tough. But it will be run at RetroPalooza.

Thanks for the explanation.

I did not know it would take so long. Here at SAL we are trying to run another class other than Stock Cars so we can race with big boys.

What class is cheap to get into that is run at most big races?

You might want to consider the GTC-FK class which will be run on Friday first. It will be FK motor hand-outs. Talk to George and he can fill you in.

Hey Pat the Cat,

That is the hardtop sports cars we were looking at on Wednesday night. I have a loaner that you can test with.

Actually we were thinking that tech opens one hor before a race and listing a close time would help move them into the line.

But if you think you only need a half hour we can do that, and of course we would shut down the power.

For Retro East, tech opens at 9:30 for the first of two classes, so with only one class per day there should be no problem getting the program done by a decent hour if tech opens at the times listed.  Unless of course we have 75 entries per class!  :D

The track should definitely be shut off, otherwise people will drag their feet.  With the days alternating between two tracks, there should be not issues with people getting enough practice time.

What time will the raceway be open until on Friday?  I won't be down there until after work, so I'm hoping to get some time on the King for the F1 race.

I am getting asked about the timing of the handout motors for the GTC FK race.

The schedule says the raceway is opening at 8 a.m. I would assume then that the handout should start at 8:15. That will give them time to break them in and do some testing in order to be ready for tech at 9:30. If we have to, we can move tech back to 10 a.m.
