As far as I can tell, Russkit never ran an ad for the Hustler - either they didn't have the budget by the time they released it, or they were ashamed to be selling a Thingie!

The colors are in-between. The picture I posted is old. I will take better pics soon since the car needs to be posted on the website.
The Hustler is shown in the 1967 catalog, but with... a vastly different body from the production model! For some odd reason, the one in the catalog, that looks a lot better, was not used. Several Russkit models have catalog pictures not corresponding with actual production: the catalog and box pictures of the Eagle, Lotus 40, and Chaparral 2 are not the same as what's inside the box. It's all good except for the Hustler.

I have these two Hustlers and the packagings have slight differences.
One has an acetate cover, but I guess it is not the original one.
The bases also are different: the right one has a slope. Which one is the original?

Thanks Stefano, very impressive.
Are the bodies really as different as they seem to be?

Don, looking at these bodies closely I can't see any significant difference.
It could be a flash light effect

It is Stefano... just looked more closely, only a year later.
What type of inserts do you have in these? I just picked up a used one, but in very good condition, and it came with the Lola inserts, which seem to be on at least one of years.
In other pictures, and according to what PdL said, they were the Russkit chappy type wire wheels...
