I don't see why being mysterious about a new submission is warranted, would it not have been wiser to just say testing is not complete on the PS motor? And stating that "several issues" sounds fishy, to me...

Just musing - not everyone is a superb writer with a keen semantic sense, like me; sometimes a cloud's just a cloud, however fishy-shaped.

Yes, I guess the unpaid help, that has other things on their plate, has to word everything precisely to reflect exactly what's going on.
Or if we said nothing, we would be criticized for that also.

I've gotten frequent suggestions that I ghost-write; but the, um, corporeal demands for that status make me reluctant to accept.

Can you at least tell us if the PS submission is the standard one-piece FK motor or is it a 65 turn arm is a PD type set-up??

Are they available yet?
If not, when?... tomorrow maybe?
Which direction do they run?
How about brush life?
Are they fast?
Do they have good brakes?
What color is the sticker?
I mean this is all really critical stuff for a motor that is not yet approved.

They have been marked "TSR" for awhile now.

I stand corrected. It just seems to me that since they import both motors that the cans would be marked differently...

They are.
The D3 doesn't say Falcon 7.

I said I was out but I have to reply to Bill D:
6/19/13 - Due to the continuing uncertainty regarding availabilty of the Falcon 7 motor, the IRRA™ BoD has voted to "unfreeze" the FK section of the IRRA™ approved motor list and to accept submissions of similar motors for consideration to be added to the list. Submitted motors must meet the same wind specs of 65 turns, wire size, etc., and must deliver a similar level of performance compared to motors currently on the approved list.
If I still have a tad of reading comprehension in me, the above statement pretty well rules out any exposed endbell type motors, when it states FK submission. And to boot, they would be hotter than a American PD and that whole debacle would start again. . If it has an endbell and hardware, it would not be an FK motor. right?

Rick,
Thanks for the reading lesson, but nowhere in the IRRA rules does it state that a FK motor has to always be completely sealed as current FKs. The rules list the specs of the current motors, but they do not specifically detail the exact requirements for the motors of that type which is what allowed the approval of the PS4002 motor in the first place. The purpose of my asking the question was to inquire as to whether ProSlot was importing a complete new motor or were they using existing parts.
Again, thanks for your concern about my education...

Bill, I think FK sort of brands it. Now this is just my opinion, and I would think that would take a PD with 65 turns out of the mix, immediately.
"accept submissions of similarmotors for consideration to be added to the list".
I just call 'em as I see 'em...

Can I ask why the new JK motor is legal to use though isnt commercially available? Swiss said Jerry's shipment isn't suppose to arrive til November. So other then the ones Jerry provided Swiss, no one else can get them?
Bodies have to wait a month to make them commercially available. Wouldn't the same apply here?

Cap,
The BoD was faced with the very real possibility that the new shipment of Falcons would not arrive in time for the Sano. How would you have dealt with that situation?
Please keep in mind that the IRRA BoD is five guys working together for the betterment of Retro racing, not just one person pushing a personal agenda, as has so often been the case in the slot racing world.
If you think the BoD is doing a lousy job, perhaps you ought to consider what's going on in Washington with our elected representatives...
