Has anyone come up with a way to track mount the Third Eye Hitman controller?

Bump - well, I looked first... can someone tell me how to mount a track hanger for the black box?

I had already emailed 3rd eye about a bracket, and they gave me the dimensions to get one made. Thought it was strange they no longer furnished brackets.  I had already talked to Terry Tawney and a couple of the retro guys about it, and at the retro race in Melbourne yesterday, he had one off his old 3rd eye controller he offered me, but I had already made one out of .032 brass sheet stock. Doc Dougherty actually ended up with it.

If you have some .032 brass sheet stock and can get some short #4 machine screws you can make one yourself.. Mine is three pieces of .032 brass silver soldered together. If you build retros, this is easy to do as you have most of the material anyway, plus I made mine where it holds the heatsink firmly against the track wall and gives a little more room at the connection plate for hookup, although heavier than the lightweight aluminum job. At least I didn't have to go out searching for a five foot piece of aluminum channel that I only needed less than six inches of.

I'll put up the dimensions of my brass homemade one tonight when I get home.  I made mine to hang the heatsink right next to the track to leave the area to the right of the hookup panel free.  The bracket that people normally use lets the heatsink stick out more. Mine is definitely larger than his specs, it just positions the heatsink differently.  A good luck finding channel the size he specifies, I couldn't. A metal shop offered to make me a 10 foot piece at a ridiculous price.

This is a quote from the email I got from 3rd Eye, "best to make your own by using 3/4 x3/4x1 1/6 channel".

I repaired a controller last week that used the spring clamp from a clipboard to mount the controller to the track wall.  It opened up wide to fit the 3/8" wall without any problem

The guy cut the clipboard so that the body of the clipboard was attached with a 1/4" edge all around the clip.

Just something to keep in mind
