Looks like a fun new toy---but much more like RC than slot racing!!  Can you say--Mini Z??  The cars look cool and their priced right IF their fast enough to really be fun!!  :)

Digital and electronics apart, these cars seems to have pretty strange mechanics inside:

No obvious steering mechanism up front, also pretty slippery & independent wheels.

 

The business end for steering seems to be in the rear, with seeemingly more grippy
wheels/tires, and also independent driving of the wheels with two separate motors.

 

Effectively rear wheel drive & steering.

 

Ho hum.
