I'm no pro but I'll guess mid 80's.

Guess - Mid 80s to early 90s when 'natural' rubber came around.

I ran those Alpha labeled tires (in tan) to a track championship in 1990.  :D

Soaked with Trinity R/C carpet burner (indoor) tire treatment.

Smell it? :shok:  :heat:   :laugh2:

I don't remember the T'NT tires :unknw:

Bob is probably right.

Alpha first started in business in about 83, so it wasn't late 70's, for sure.

TNT are tires from Tony Griffin, who had a raceway, in Texas, by the same name.

If you are looking to use them, they might come to life if you skim them on the tire grinder, and get a fresh surface.

Mike, they are HARD, so they have mostly historical value :-)

I quitted slotracing in the late 70's due to TaeKwondo, girls and RC racing and was briefly back in the early 80's  but cant remember these tyres.

but Mike and all - thanks for the info

It would be cool if you could use them in reto racing.

The new Alpha colored SBR doughnuts are pretty decent, a little more grip than medium Wonder rubber.

I use then for basement racing. Cheap and vintage appearing.

Thanks for all information. After taking a closer look I can see the rims are more "modern" than the wheels on the vintage cars i have.

I have some off the coloured Alpha rubber and have used it to restore some Riggen rears for a Champion Group 20 car :-)

TNT are tires from Tony Griffin, who had a raceway, in Texas, by the same name.

Tony is still active here in the DFW area. I sent him a link to this thread; this is what he replied:

"I made tires from 1993 to 2000. The Brown ones were the rage of the 1993 NATS in Los Angeles."
