Anyone know of any motels? I'd like to come Friday to practice, but can't find any motels because of the game.

I like the idea of the American Raceway Series.
The idea of running on 3 different, totally different American tracks, is very cool.
I'm less than excited it's being done in the middle of race season, involving existing scheduled series races, and from 2 different regions.
It looks like a big turnout for Thazer, which while bigger races are terrific, it's going to create a longer race day for the Chicago area guys.
It doesn't matter to me.
I used to regularly race the Pro GP 7 Main at 4 in the morning,
But it might be less than exciting for others.
What I'm more concerned about is the 2nd leg of the race is Dec.14th at Rt.93.
That's the same date as IRRL Race #3 at Mid-America.
Are any of the South Bend guys going to participate in the American 3 race series ?
If so, that would mean they would have to skip the IRRL race.
I'm not sure how that is fair to a raceway who picked that date months before the American series was created.

It will be great to see everyone at Thazer again, looking forward to it. Sorry no hotel information, glad Cap was able to find one. I have heard some game weekends, they are booking hotels clear up in Kalamazoo.
My intention was to run every IRRL race and that's what I'm sticking to, with the exception of any non racing commitments that trump that (I may miss May17th at Chicagoland)

I talked to Dave Geehring and Forest Hoover, and we agreed to go "one and done" as far as the Mains.
IOW, no move-ups.
We also agreed the racers that are only at the Thazer race for the American Series will not be scored in the IRRL points standings.
IOW, an IRRL regular who finished 8th, would be given points as 5th , if 3 American Series only racers, finished ahead of them.

John,
My "Yes" answer to Jeff was supposed to my "Yes" answer to you,
so to answer your question, Yes. LOL
WOW - I feel blessed that you agree with me. Not trying to be a smart ass either!
Unfortunately, I wasn't agreeing with you.
As I mention above, I quoted the wrong post.
I personally don't care how we do it.
If I was Kreskin and could read peoples minds, I would of inquired with the raceways about changing it at that point.
I thought it was a nice carrot for the C and B type racers, but it came to my attention most people would rather spend less time at the raceway, and get home earlier.
Back in my day, if I planned to slot race, I committed the whole day for it, and liked to get in as much track time as possible.
But that was back before the internet, big screen TV's, and in my case, a wife.

I have an ongoing date with 1500sq ft of hardwood flooring needing to be laid before Thanksgiving, sorry to miss the fun.
Can't make it now. Need to go new car shopping with the wife.
With an employee discount, you are considering something other than a CP?

Unofficial results for the F1 Race. I am trying to piece the information together from various sources as best as I can. Sorry if there are any errors or omissions; I am striving for the highest level of accuracy given the circumstances.
Qualifying times not available as of the time of this post, (rumor has it that the printer jammed when trying to print the qualifying results ) if I can find them out somehow I will update the sheet and this posting.
