Does anyone know the history?

The obvious common info:
1) Tom Thumb is the franchise name for the numerous American Model Raceway tracks that spread the hobby around North America in the early 1960's. The time log book was proof of customer loyalty.
2) The Cox Lotus 40 is a companion car to the Cox Chaparral of the early 1960's.

I believe that Bob is calling our attention to the "Tom Thumb" (lane?) stickers on the side of the Cox slot car box....

Yes, Correct MG. I didn't edit/crop the pictures and was pointing out the lane stickers.
Anybody on Slotblog race there in Holly Hill back in the day?
Is there a discussion on the franchise? like...um... What was the peak in the number of 'stores'?
