Enjoy!

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

OK, Mick, I am pulling your leg. It looks nice and congrats to Dave for having stopped the invading tide and upholding the locals' honor.

Sorry, I couldn't find a colour photo.

Who painted it and why did it not use the #93 Dan had on the car at the 1963 Indy 500?
The real car was re-assembled from the remains of Bobby Marshman's destroyed car (the ex-Jimmy Clark 2nd place car) and the Type 29 that Dan used in the race (the Mule). It is now in the UK and was at the Goodwood Festival of Speed about 4 years ago. The third car is on display at the IMS but is painted in the Clark colors which of course is utterly wrong since it is the long-wheelbase chassis built for Lanky Dan, that he crashed during his qualifying attempt. It was repaired, raced by Al Miller and others, and eventually donated to the museum when obsolete.
Of all the F1/Indy cars shown above, my favorite is the "factory" Cooper-Maserati painted and detailed as the Jochen Rindt car. What a nice job!
Of course it is hard to compete with Joe's incredible talent, and his bodies are truly awesome.

Noose had a Cooper with hand-lettering that just had to be seen to be believed. A photo cannot capture it.

Noose also did some great detailing on my Krylon Orange GT Coupe. That one goes in the Sano Box that Swiss gave to all the racers.

I thought your body looked better then normal. I always used to use that spray in the old days, same color, too. Does it still stick OK?

He used "Duplicoat Adhesion Promoter" in a spray bomb you can purchase in auto part stores like Autozone, etc.

(Ray beat me to the punch)Sniff... sniff... nope
Joe,
I'll have to check my notes to see if Concours judging ended when I put your body on the plaques or you walked in the raceway.
Next year if Eddy Mac, Jarius, Jack Beers, or whoever want to take a serious run at you, I'll go ahead and come up with some awards. Jackie's quite talented at sculpting. When you get a chance, email her, and tell her how you want yourself depicted on next year's "Joey" statue, circa 1967 or 2007.
(Psssst - No offense, but I would go with '67! )

I really appreciate all the acolades, warm comments, and the chance to contribute to this great event. Having realistic cars is my thing. They can look good and go fast.
I'm having a blast doing this stuff again.

Dokk,
Coming from you, that's high praise! Thank you.
