Fellas,

Some new/old cars made their debute at the rescheduled January meeting. In addition we had the thrill of taking some of our cars out on the newly installed "Hurricane" track at The Race Place.

Mike debuted his most recent aquisition the Indy Eagle, that flew all the way from Great Britian. Dynamic 26D powered. By the way, I'm to understand that it took off several times at The Race Place as well... oodles of power to say the least !

Rodney also brought along a new car, Lola I believe. The colors really make this car "pop" as they say, "strap"chassis is super clean, really gets around in a hurri-cane !

Another car Mike bought to the party, the K&B Porsche 904 GT with all the little do-dads still attached, no small feat after about 50 years!

We also had Glenn's hardbodied racers group on hand for a test-n-tune session, we couldn't photograph some of the cars as they were still in the developmental stage.

Here's a small sample of equiptment that Glenn had on hand for the event. Porsche 917 is replica of '69 LeMans winner. Impala is a real beauty... tough to pass in the corners!

As mentioned above, we took some of the cars out on the newly-installed "Hurricane" track. A really fast track and a chance to get those old brass spur gears really singing!!! Here's Rodney's McLaren and my Ferrari sitting on the track, no shots of them moving, all I got was a blur...  Notice the look of "concern" in the McLaren driver's eyes ?

I'll close this with a shot of an "in the works" Dynamic-chassied creation from Rodney's stable. I can't recall the power plant but it's a lightweight for sure! Sharp eyed readers, note the rear axle and ball bearings at all four corners. Can't wait to see this one on the new track.[

Next meeting, Thursday February 6, 2014 7:30 PM at The race Place.

FYI, that brass chassis under the green and yellow Lola is an International chassis.

It is a Chevron B16. I numbered 16 to make it easy to identify.

Could not remember who made the chassis, it has been in the parts bin for a few(?) years. Thanks for solving the mystery.

That new track looks great . But what happened to the Aristicat track ?
Joseph Migliaccio. Karma it's a wonderful thing.

"Drive it like you're in it!!!"

"If everything feels under control... you are not going fast enough!"

Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

The Aristocrat is in storage and for sale, at least it was a few weeks ago. I wish I had somewhere to put it...
