Thanks for these pics, Bill.

I need a shot of that new red quad-oval for Port Jeff's entry in Slotblog's Raceway List. Hope you won't mind if I snag yours.

Just talked to Doug Bauer at PJ and he related that he cracked two vertebrae in his back and tore a rotator cuff helping the buyer of his stored American black track load it into a too-small truck... before he started to move the raceway itself!

Healing thoughts headed your way, Doug...

Wow, that is just the perfect-looking setup! :D Turn it black and white and you could be looking at one of the many model magazine slot race reports from any number of the raceways during the '60s. :D

Congrats, Doug and the crew at Port Jeff, on a successful move and getting the new location set up.

A very nicely laid-out raceway with some great tracks.

I like the quad oval. It reminds me of the Calder Park Thunderdome here in Melbourne, Australia.

My bet is they'll have to take out the oval for any big events. There are a couple of tables in the rear, but it doesn't look like enough for 30 racers.

Looks awesome. Where are the pits?

After the photo was taken additional tables were added in the back.

There is also pit space in front.

The red track can be removed for big races. Finally, for very big races the Hillclimb can be partially removed.

Cheers

That would be a real bummer if the big race was scheduled to take place on the Hilclimb. :)
