Winter continued to hit Chicago, with fairly heavy snow predicted, and hitting in the afternoon.

But 5 racers still came in from South Bend, which lead to a pretty nice event.

F1 - 11 entries

TQ - Mike Swiss - 4.900

In the B Main, Dave and Austin lead early.

John got off of White and Red and started to make his move.

He tied Austin in the 3rd heat and steadily pulled away, including a nice 35 laps the last heat, for the 10 lap win over Dave,

His 265 lap total held up for 5th overall.

In the A Main, it was a good battle among 4 racers.

Rick dropped back first when he hit the high lanes.

Sano Dave dropped back when he took his turn on Black the 5th heat.

Kevin wound up being a little too fast, taking the win, running the only sub 5 second race lap in the process.

Finishing on Green and Blue, I  charged hard at the end, but Kevin paced himself perfect the last heat, and the power
went off with me still 10 or 15 ft. back.

Can-Am - 12 entries

TQ - Mike Swiss - 4.769

In the B Main, to no ones surprise, Rick Stagen dominated, running the only sub 5 second lap, turning a nice 273 laps, which wound up for 6th overall.

After coming off of Red, Larry's motor broke in, running strong, and he flirted with the 4's the last 3 heats.

In the A Main, no one showed any extraordinary speed, with fast race laps for 5 of the 6 cars being less than .04 apart.

In the end, Sano Dave, with his GVP chassis, was a little stronger in the high lanes over me, and despite a sub-par 33 on Black, took the 2 lap win,
running a nice (for a monthly race), 280 laps.

John was super-steady, running 5 - 34's and 3 - 35's, to edge out Kevin and Dave for the last podium spot, with a solid 275 laps.

Looks like my 3rd number came off with a lane sticker. Lol.
