I was just curious if there might be any interest in a HoD/Retro South combo race at Talladega sometime this year? We have had great success with our GRRR/Retro South combo races. They have been the most attended retro race in the South every year now. I think we could have a great turnout, and it would be a lot of fun.

I don't see why not count me in. Let's run stockers on the oval

Heck yeah, stockers on the oval Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Ralph, I would be onboard, if my work schedule allows it.
You probably remember my prediction that combo IRRA races would be a goat rodeo. I was so wrong.

Great idea Ralph!!! I'm all for a Combo race, but that said I'd like to keep my StockCar in one piece so I'd highly recommend running all of the races on the Paperclip.

I understand not everybody likes to tear up their cars on an Oval war.
But I do. Ralph, could we please have a special Oval race for maniacs like me and Bud ? Maybe a "non-points" short race ? I was the "2010 Advanced Dirt Late Model AMSRA National Champion" on that track, so of course I love it,

Ok guys, good news/bad news...
Bad news is I spoke to Eddie and at this time he is not interested in working with Retro South and making this race happen.
But that's ok...
Good news is this race is going to happen anyway! It will be called The Steve McBride Memorial Race. We will probably run the same rules and classes as Retro South normally does. I will get a date posted soon.
Thanks everyone for showing interest.

I'm in as long as Eddie's out. See you Mar 8th in Snellville. What rules are different at Retro South than IRRA? Please PM me so I don't show up and be surprised.

Racing starts around 11:00 am Sat. morning. Allowing out of town people like you and me and Mike and Casey and Matt and Will to be there without having to leave at 4:00 am or spending fri. Nite..Instead of Talladega starting at 9:30 am. requiring a motel stay !!
No rule changes..regular IRRA rules..

Red,
Eddie said he has no interest so he will not be involved. Retro South runs IRRA tm rules. I'm looking forward to having you and many others join us.
