I'm going to put a inline automotive fuse on the brake wire of Difalco (tired of hooking up wrong and frying the brake pot).  What amp fuse should I use?

Doesn't your controller have Difalco's resettable fuse? Mine does. And it works very well, as I have found out.

10 amp will be plenty.

There is no real amp load in braking mode, so a minimal fuse is needed.  The brake pots are only rated at a couple of amps.

I use a ten amp on my brake circuits and a fifteen on my transistors. In the past Dan used other value fuses for the same circuits.. I don't know anything about Difaco so I won't try to tell you what to use. I jsut posted the values I use as a suggestion where to start .

Be carefull you don't use too high an amperage on the fuse, you can over watt the circuit and fry something without popping the fuse.
