I hope I'm worthy of having this forum dedicated to my stuff and I'll try to live up to Greg's confidence in nudging me this direction. So... here's a little about what I'm planning to be doing in this forum.

But first, the salt...

  • These builds will all be built to NorCal rules unless otherwise noted.
  • I'll try to point out anything that's different elsewhere and make the build so it's not dependent on that factor.
  • I will try to do as many as I can as a step by step but sometimes that may be a bit repetitive.
  • Sometimes I may do something that's a little more like "Cliff Notes", such as the last one on the R-Geo F1.

OK... the plans...

  • I'll try to do at least one full build a month but in the winter months I don't have as much time to build.
  • I'll try to make follow-ups on track testing and tuning on each individual build within the same thread.
  • I may occasionally do a post on how I tuned an older car for a particular situation.
  • I usually have a specific goal in mind for each build although sometimes I do something random.
  • There will occasionally be testing threads (such as body analysis) that are more appropriate for NorCal rules, but may have value as general information to others.

Thanks...

Jim,

Please have no concerns or worries along these lines.

Just keep doing what you do and we'll all be as happy as clams...

Excellent! All of your builds in one place... in a word.... awesome.  :D :good:

Always liked reading about your builds and the track testing, most informative.  :good:

May eventually nudge me to actually build some Retro cars.  :D

As one who competes directly with Mr. Fowler, I pay close attention to what he says and does. It doesn't make me as quick as he is, but it certainly doesn't make me any slower either.  :0)

Thanks to all for the kind words.

I hope to have some new content up middle-end of next week. This will mostly be testing of existing stuff. I'll be testing the two F1s pictured in the last tuning fork thread on the MTT at Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin.

I should also be able to test and show some new updates on the GVP build thread and some other stuff from the Purple Angel also at FTH.

Probably no new builds before our next race (3/16). But I do have some stuff simmering on the back burner.

Jim, That sounds like a 'list'... No pressure... it takes the fun out.

The quality of your work, record keeping, and reporting takes time.
