I measured the guide flag stem at 11/64 (app. 4.36 mm).
If you know that to be accurate, please confirm.
Thanks, jb

Cannot confirm your accuracy..... You have the guide and measuring device.
What you have stated should work with a 10/32 die.

I was wanting to attempt to scratchbuild a guide tonge or two, but wasn't sure of the correct diameter for the hole to fit the flag properly. When I measured a flag I had lying around, it was 11/64", but the next one seemed to be slightly larger.
If the hole is typically 3/16", that's the magic number I'm looking for.
Maybe next time I'll offer a little more explanation. I"m glad you guys were able to figure out what I was asking.
Thanks.

Yep, guide tongue hole size is 3/16" these days.
Just to confuse you, in the way distant past some were 1/8"...

the 1/8" work well threaded 6-32 and are weak threaded 5-40...
I have noticed some of the flags ARE oversized and break stems when using 10-32....not good
