Since there is one of these ending on eBay today (not mine), I thought I would post it.

It was a great time for hobbies. An extra parts kit for racers and scratchbuilders. Everything shown on an attractive display card for only fifty cents! Seeing that these sell for 150 to 200 times their original price they beat inflation by just a little.

Mr Whoopie, where is that time machine? Need to go back and pick up a couple cases.  :)

After you factor in a retail of .50, retailer cost at about .35, distributor cost at about .25 at which Cox sold it to the distributor, it's amazing anything stayed viable as long as it did. The key was volume, good thing Cox produced millions of items so we can enjoy them today.
