Thirty-three (33) entries for GTC-FK (JK Retro Hawk hand-out motors).

With the likes of Al Rutti, Steve Koepp, Greg Fox, and Eric Gehrken in the field, this should be a good one.

Congrats to Eric Gehrken on his TQ with a 4.850 secs.

And super-congrats to eleven-year-old Ryan Bruce on his top three run.

Cool to see a guy I've raced with a bunch the last five or so years take TQ out there.

Eric's helped me a lot with advice about building my first few Retro chassis and taught me a lot about setting them up.

Eric's a great guy, a great builder, and a very good racer. I didn't even throw him out of the car on the way out here. LOL.

For never having been on the track, getting TQ is pretty damn good.

GTC-FK combined qualifying... First through eighth place qualifying time spread: .087 secs!

And 1 through 16 was only .161 secs.

Last year, at R4/6, the spread was .141 (1-8) and .345 (1-16), almost twice as large, 1-8, and considerably over twice as large, 1-16.

Like at Sano 7, the JK Retro Hawk has brought closer competition to hand-out racing.

Just watched heat 5 of the B Main and fast lap, purple-white, was a super-tight 4.997-5.065.

Despite Steve running 4.8s again in the last heat, Ohio fan favorite, Al Rutti, hangs on for the win, with a terrific 283 laps.

Steve Koepp second, and Eric Gehrken hangs on for third.

Thanks, Bob.

Wish I had the budget to do that...

And I hope your set-up is allowing you to watch the Tom Thumb video feed... it is excellent and really allows you to follow the action from a distance.
