This was our first race in this year because Team Tokyo including myself went to race at the Checkpoint Cup at Buena Park in January & due to the heavy snow in Tokyo in February.
Because of several bumps on the main strait of our Gerding King during winter due to cold & dry weather & air-conditioning, we had decided to race GTC-FK instead of F-1 in February & March.
The track surface had been fixed thanks to our carpenter, Mr. Yoshida, & some fellow racers efforts, we had better not take chances until the weather becomes mild in Spring, so we will race GTC-FK in April, too.
In Can-Am I raced a new Kamo-DIO IRRA Can-Am chassis for the first time with a very good success, while Tebu raced his own build & Kamo-san ran his SCRRA light-weight Kamo-DIO Can-Am chassis with TSRD3 as I did at the Checkpoint Cup in January.
We enjoyed racing GTC-FK for the first time in Tokyo.
To make our racers' preparation easier & simpler, Parma Lola GT was designated as a spec body.
The minimum car weight of 110 grams with TSRD3/Falcon 7 as spec motors made the race very close.
I won what I had raced at last June's Retro Palooza at HVR, Kamo-Speed IRRA GTC chassis.
Tebu raced his own bulild, while Kamo-san raced what I raced for Can-Am, a new IRRA Kamo-DIO Can-Am chassis with some lead to make the car 110 g.
More pictures will be posted here and at our web-site: retro-tokyo.com soon.
