Just got hired to build this chassis... I've been working on this design. It's been good for the smaller hardbodies we run on mainly small lots-of-corners tracks.

Chassis is made of .093" brass cut from sheet... milled and silver soldered.

I hope you will enjoy the pic...

Regards,

Paul

A lot goin' on there, Paul; nice lookin' chassis.

Even with a hardbody, I'd be tempted to tie-wrap that front axle on.

Ya, i thought about that very thing, but if i did..you could not get the chassis apart..,now you can just heat up one of the legs and the whole chassis will come apart for oiling or straightning...but ya normal op...that would be good practice, regards Paul

Clean looking chassis Paul! Is this for 1/32 or 1/24 scale cars? It appears to have hinged  pans, shaker or sliding front guide plate, & floating fronts on the pans. What did I miss & how does it work? Is that one of the motor brackets that you make? :)

Ok, its first a iso chassis...whitch means to me that the inside is not part of the outside...im trying to put the weight of the car onto the guide..the center section is isolated front to rear...i call that a trobone slide....it just acts close to a twist....the middle section is hooked together with 2 L 's and brass tubing you can see under the guide...the L bracket holds the side pans, and front wheels..which also float in the square tubing holding the uprights whitch also only hook up with seperate L bracket and then to the front axle. I dont like alot of movement but i do like isolatation, it works that way with retro cars with tight wheel to wheel well clearence.....anyway still trying to build the perfect hardbody hi hi hi....good luck to me!!!! Thanks for the chat...regards Paul

Ok, sorry i missed some of your questions, yes that is the motor mount we built....and the chassis is 1\24th, but it could be 1\32nd...matter of fact, im working on more parts for 13ds and 1\32nd cars....ive always really like 1\32 inline cars, they are a little harder to drive but, i would like to try the new little 13ds from proslot and womp racing.....fatastic fun!im trying to find the energy to build a new track for myself, and only going to be 4 inch lane spacing for scale 1\24th and 1\32 racing....going to have some big fun next year, when i get rid of my track back! Hi hi hi.....regards Paul

Thanks for your chassis explanation Paul. I've only recently started running hard body cars on a small 4-lane club/home track. I have a lot to learn. :)
