We're less than a week away now from our Retro debut at SpeedZone PTC! This is shaping up to be a GREAT race and large turn-out! Everyone should come check this place out at least once. They ordered $3,000 worth of Retro-related parts for us to make sure anything we might need will be in stock. They will be open all day Friday for testing and tuning. There are lots of near by hotels, and plenty of great restaurants in the same shopping center. The Gerding King (G3) should be ready to do battle. It has been completely re-braided, walls painted, and looks great.

Can-Am and F1 will be on the King*. Stock Car on the Hillclimb.

Doors open at 8 AM Saturday morning, racing begins at 10:30.

* In the unforeseen event that the King is not ready, all races will be run on the fast and smooth Hillclimb.

Looks like an awesome facility with two real nice tracks. Wish it were closer... good luck with the race!

Matt, that's what a $30,000 floor looks like in a slot car track, LOL.

Jay, glad you guys can make it! I'm expecting about 25 racers...

Wow, a Gerding King that's a reasonable distance off the floor, not a back breaker. What a concept!! :good:

Have fun!

Ralph, do you know what Gerding that is?  Might it be G1 from Sonny's up here?

It's G3. It has been privately owned its whole life, until now. It was in someone's basement in CT or RI I think?

I'll have some pics and results up shortly. Missed one pic of the lap counter showing the result, so Ralph will add it after I do my thing.

I thought it was a good day for a first Retro race in a new raceway. SpeedZone PTC is a very impressive facility, is it not?

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap
