A new car for the Danish 1965-1971 GT-Class: Flemming Rasmussens 1968 Alfa Romeo GTA.

Flemming was a well known racing driver in Danmark in the 1960's and 70's, driving Ford Cortina, Alfa Romeo and Ford Escort TC's. He died some years ago, but his daughter is a friend on Facebook and has been very supportive under this built.

I began with a Tamiya plastic kit body, which got a bit wider rear fenders like the original. I made a silicone mould to make up the actual slot car body in thin Grp.
I also used kit parts to make wheel inserts and vacuum formed interior parts to build a detailed, but lightweight interior:

The parts for the body and interior is available as a kit is someone is interested. Just send a PM.

Decals are homemade and printed both on ALPS and Laser printers.

The beautiful wheel inserts were cast in resin and based on modified plastic kit wheels.

The new DSC chassis from Dieter Jens at scaleracing.de. Beautifully made and with a lot of adjusting possibilities.

The first test of the new car last week without interior was promising, so I look forward to test the car more intensively. :-)
