Thanks Charlie, I had the album of Silly Surfers on one side and Weird-Ohs on the other. Got it when I was 11 or 12 and kept it until the wife took the records some years ago. I'm 62 so I kept it a long time. Wish I still had it. Couldn't listen to it without smiling. It might even be worth something. LOL Also my firs slot car was Revell's Rat Fink Lotis. Should have never taken it out of the box. Wasn't much of a car but it got me started. Still at it 50 years later.

1966, for whatever reason I remember a particular song being played on the radio in those days. Whenever I was driving to the slot car track, it seemed this song invariably would be playing on the radio.
I like the beat of the song (the words have nothing to do with racing but the music seemed to fit racing). I believe this rock song was one of the first to use a lot of brass/trumpet and the guitar solo reminds me of surfing music.

Amazing! - we will honor your memories Keith - song dedicated to your days at Rolling Hills!
The videos hopefully will pick up the music...gotta make sure to test that!
bluecars - I forgot about the old vinyl - now I remember some of them had albums on both sides, Nice!
You guys spark great ideas - after all the work to download 100 songs to a thumbdrive it will be easy to duplicate them.
Each racer and guests in attendance will receive one in their goodie bag!

Oh hell yeah! More psychobilly is what we all need!
Come to Downriver Speedway in Lincoln Park Michigan. You will think time stopped somewhere about 1968.

Great song.
I was going to suggest Radar Love, but as I suspected, it came around later. 1973
If we're out of that 65-69 era, you have to go with the original rock 'n roll song;
