GlueBomb, I'm working on a 60s style build of a Gasser.
Waiting on a chassis that works with that motor.

Nice; The Dynamic motor mount #565 is easy to find and good - often needs a little fussing with a file to get a good fit though...

GlueBomb I found this chassis .....

That is a very nice chassis kit.

Sweet - i've not seen that one before.

Ooo nice Kemtron chassis Should make a nice car .

I haven't built that one in a long time...but I still enjoy building any of the brass Kemtron kits because they are simple, neat and functional...also because I feel guilty about all of the ones I butchered when I was a teenager with a soldering gun.

Boxerdog, I'll remeber that, "easy" after it's built. LOL...

Amen on the Kemtron frames - very well designed, and have always worked well on the track for me, right from the first time!
Oddly enough, I've done a couple for Pittman, Tyco and other motors, but not for a Kemtron.

Update on the chassis, had to solve an issue with the motor, had a friend loan me a motor for the dry fit.
As the instructions mention a block of wood with a C clamp for a jig, those were the days.....
Original motor fixed, now need a set of front and rear wheels.

Nice job DVan.
I giggle inside every time I see that wood block method in the instruction sheet.
Two points....
Build on, ... and if you don't have any luck finding some wheels locally or on epay let me know.

DC thanks, I now have 2 motors, one is mine is the other is on loan.
Gator Bob. I'm working on something for a drop arm for sure.
Epay at this time doesn't have what I'm look for, I will keep you in mind, thanks.

More questions: Where does some one get springs, brushes, bushings for these motors, or other Kemtron motors.
Also can the Hudy lather cut the armartures? Or does someone know where we can get them cut?
Thanks

This is the car that was dominating the thursday night races at Polks Hobbies in NYC when i started racing. I bought all of the parts and went home and put it all together, copying the simple light drop arm that was winning there. It was the first car i ever put together and it was pretty ugly but immediately fast.. I won so many times with that car that a lot of the older people quit racing. I used Graupner airlplane tires turned down and i hung a porche F1 body on it. I still want to build one of these to have.

Is there a chance I could get you to either post a picture of your Valiant car underside picture? Or if you could email it to me?
Thanks

Hey DVan,
I lucked into this neato bit of kit on eBay. Your welcome to any parts that would help:
When I tear into one of these 40+ year old motors something usually goes wrong. This time I have spare parts! They came as a seller's afterthought in an eBay auction. I think they are pretty cool:
