I'm planning to build a copy of Dennis Samson's F1 chassis (very nice, Dennis)!
Regarding the shaker plate, is movement allowed in all directions, i.e. up, down, side to side, and front to back?
Thanks!

2 reasons, i have the FX kit, and i like the way it performs.....the above question was for the plate,,,im know onto the keys....its just an honest question, not to ruffle anyones feathers, just a serious question...Justin, why don't you just use the legal S7 kit. You got your answer above on what could and could not be used from the original to make it into a legal IRRA chassis.
so can i use the uprights if i just solder them to the chassis? not using the keyholes? same with the guide?????

it says in the slots,,,,,so could i file off the keys and use them outside of the slots and be legal??? once again im not asking to get under anyones skin, just so i can complete a legal buildYou can use the main plate.
You can not use the "Eurosport"/keyed elements in the slots. Those are the front wheel uprights and lead wire holder/guide tongue locator.

ummmmmmm.......no.... just need an "official" answer,,,hopefully someone on the BOD can answer itCouldn't you have just bent up some wire uprights and soldered the front axle in place over the last week, instead of continuously asking the same question?

I would agree with Don's point and the trouble you are going to go through may not be worth it in the end.

everyones favorite pot stirrer with another question........im sure someone will get fired up about it but here it goes anyways.............the body rules state::::: 15a. Severe raking of the body for aerodynamic effect is not allowed.........what would be severe raking? is there a degree of raking that is allowed???? of course everyone will think im being a wise guy, but im just seeing what the limits are to this.....in the ideal situation the bodies should be cut on the lines but i know some bodies dont have lines so the question remains.....
Fired up,no. Think it through, there is a maxium height in the back,a minium amount of grille in the front,TI-22 is the exception, the bodies that are allowed are all approved so this is a non point, someone might try to cut a TI-22 down, but the diameter of the front wheels would preclude even that. No find a different pot. Get busy building for Sat. Bill

if you look close you can see the lines in the body
