There was no concours judging at this event, but I wanted to show a couple of Bud Greene's outstanding Stock Car bodies.

The Leeroy Yarbrough body was on John Clow's car but Bud painted and detailed both bodies.

Bud has become quite the body painter, particularily stock car bodies. :)

 

I saw the David Pearson #17 run in 1968 at Oxford Plains. Those were the days when NASCAR could run destroked motors for weight savings on the short tracks. I think the Fords were 396 c.i.d., Hemi's were 404 c.i.d. That night, Petty beat Pearson by less than a lap.
