Here's a Steube style chassis I built a few years back and never used:

Not a replica of anything, this would be good for the first race, which was held in January.  It has a motorbox and as you can see is configured for a Cox guide.

By January 1969 the low profile Jet Flag was becoming popular, along with the half-rail (no motorbox) center section.  While both the Cox guide and the motorbox design held on for a little while longer, they were on their way out.

This chassis needs some cleaning and detail work, but should work just fine.  Now, I need a Steube style motor... :scratch_one-s_head:

Very nice indeed Steve :good: See it's got the brass/piano wire rail combination & multiples of them... Early head start :D

Was going to say , Wow that's some fast chassis building :laugh2: then I saw you'd built it a while back...

Thanks for the bottom view Steve :good: Can get a real good look at the multiple rails. Nice design  with the rails & motor box . Looking at the different races & chassis it's a tough choice between motor box or not!  Probably depends how much I like following all the how to articles on bending one of them :laugh2:
