1/24 Cox Ford GT with X-100 motor?

Is this an X-100 or X-200 Motor?

 

 
It's the only Cox chassis and motor I have like this.

According to Steve Okeefe's can spotting guide, the Cox TT-X100 is a 16D sized motor with a blind can bushing & no separate brush heat sinks. The Cox TT-X200 Is a 36D sized motor with a plain brass holder for the can's gimbal bushing & no separate brush heat sinks. I don't see the can end of the motor in your photos, but it appears you have a 36D. I would say you have the TT-X200 motor.

Th box reads X-100. I did't think COX made Ford GT Kits with 16D motors.

I might be wrong but being on the other side of the pond and more into 1/32nd. I always thought the TX-100 and TX -150 were 16D size and for the 1/32nd cars the Ford GT and the Cheetah. And the TX-200 and TX-250 36D size for the 1/24th cars. I know there were some chassis kits made for the TX-50 13OU motor. And that the Cucuracha took a TX-50 in its 1/32nd form Lil Cuc and a 16d sized motor in its 1/24th form. Maybe they used a 16d size TX-100 on the early 1/24th cars?

The very first kits of the 1/24 Ford GT were equipped with the TTX 100. With a chassis dedicated to that engine.

 

Very soon Cox replaced it with the TTX 200. Which imposed another chassis. This explains the drawing in the box and the sticker for the new motor.

 

Thereafter Cox used the TTX 250. With a different chassis again.

 

Last chassis and last engine : the adjustable chassis and Nascar engine (or sometimes adjustable chassis and TTX 250) for the rare Team Modified version of the car.

 

This gives 4 different versions of the kits, to which we can add the RTR version with Ackermann steering. 5 different types of 1/24 Ford GT have then been made by Cox.

I knew  the motor was a 36 D but was unaware that the TTX-200 end bell was different than the TTX-250.

 

Jean-Michel after studying your Chaparral post I used the Milliput white to fill in the headlight area of extremely damaged Cheetah.
