DTM racing has got to be one of my favorite series - there's nothing like a bunch of cool, lowered German touring cars being thrown around a road course.

I built this car from a Revell Germany "Easy Kit" that was issued in maybe 2002.  It comes pre-painted and decorated.  I just added some details and a slot car interior.

The chassis is pretty straightforward.  It's just an inline brass job with pans that rattle around.  The actual car has a bottom "plank" so I just painted the brass pans black so they simulate this feature on the real car.

Rear wheels are cut down JK plastic hubs with Paul Gage urethane tires that are about .810 in diameter.  Front wheels are some old American Line that I drilled out on the drill press - around .765 in diameter.

Drive train is a 6/28 with the new Koford crown gear.  This is my new favorite drive train after getting mixed results with 64p and Slot.it stuff.
