Bob's brother Dave Emott, sent me the chassis picture below along with these comments:

I have enclosed a photo of Bob’s last in-process racing frame that I removed from the jig he created in his workshop, when I last visited his home (now sold). I polished it up and proudly display it on a bookshelf.

I love the typical Emott creativity exhibited in the rear pan hinges.

Thanks for this, Dave.

Wow... I was looking at this the other day:

I was blessed to've built him a .078" bending jig, a copy of mine which he had admired one day; it had a lever intended for OUR kind of hands, and he really appreciated that. I just kinda dig that I gave him a smile there.

Bob Emott was a true innovator who is missed. Since his passing I was very fortunate to get a few of his things Including his Flexi racing box. I have moved all of my racing stuff in his case from my own. An awesome feeling to be carrying The Master' builders case.

Thanks, Bob.

Brassy, are those rails .094" or .078"?

Duff,

That is an awesome remembrance of Bob.

I'm guessing .078" main rains. They look thinner than the 3/32" front axle to me.

I think you are right, Sir. The shadows make them look bigger.

I can just picture the smile on his face bending .078" with the Duffy... :sun_bespectacled:

There were two that Bob made right before this one. Pretty similar using the Twistamon idea Tony P showed him.
