Cool!
My favorite points in a project the beginning and the end.
How are you drawing, routing and laying out the track? It looks very artistic, not "Geometric", I like that.
Good luck.

Thanks Kent,
I used a pencil on a wire that was attached on a screw by changing the position of the screw the radius was changed and on some corners I did that a lot.
This helped to get a non "Geometric" smooth curve.
I am using a lexan strip from Oldslotracer and I nail that to the board on one of the three lanes I made a baseplate for my router that makes exactly the width I wanted 10.5 CM / 4.13386 Inch lane spacing. This will allow me to race all scales of slotcars with vengeance and the chance that someone gets nerved is minimized.
I will be making a wooden frame as I go and since I am not sure how long we will be living on this location I decided not to use my braid but copper tape.

I admire your precision! I was like 4.5 ish on mine! The compound radius is really fantastic, a much more real experience I think. I did a very geometric design and tried to compensate by using a wide wheel spacing on the elliptical jig. I didn't feel up to the compound radius. I admire it though!
The lexan strip guide gives so much more freedom of form.

Yes it gives infinite freedom of design.
I actually found out when I started routing that I could have saved a lot of time by doing one lane and routing from there with the router base plate and a strip in the groove when the first is done it is not that hard at all.
I also have a Ninco plastic track and am a bit stuck with the curves the fabricator supplies so I did cost what cost to have the curves flowing.
In fact the drawing of the lines/lanes took many times longer then the routing I am doing now.

Looks really cool. That young man is going to love that track!.
