Hello, folks!

Here is my second 275P from Monogram, with Russkit wheels because I like those vintage rims.

Tomorrow, I shall participate to a slot car competition, near Paris. There shall also be different exhibitions at the same place (Alpine Renault cars, old "Circuit 24" track etc.) and as a guest star we will be pleased to see Jean Guichet.

Jean who?

Simply the winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans race in 1964, with Nino Vaccarella, in this very car.

I will show him this slot car, quite contempory to his victory.

:hi:

As Carly Simon so wonderfully sung it: "Nobody does it better!"

Jean-Michel those are beautiful!

Only critique is the photography needs more "stuff" in the background to show off the beautiful paint with reflections.

I think your photo booth is too clean

(I have that car and a set of those wheels... hmmm?)

Nobody does it better, do you say, Jairus? Well, as far as you don't sing me about this. "You're so vain, you prob'bly think this song is about you...", I think I can do with it...

Carly Simon is one of my favorite singers, by the way.

More seriously, there are other good builders or painters here.

And you are one of those.

The only thing better than looking at them is looking at them run!

That 275P is one of my all-time favorite Ferrari race cars, alongside the 330P3.

Take the body off and have Guichet sign the bottom of it, Jean-Michel!

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Good suggestion.

But I found another way:

275P-signature-Jean-Guichet.jpg

The box shall be completed with silicon parts that will maintain the car during transportation, just as I did for the several Chaparral 2E I restored. And hopefuly an illustration on the top, made by an artist and friend (Christophe Merlin).

Jean Guichet, to whom I spoke during about 10 minutes,  signed 3 pictures in identitical format, for the interior of the lid.

I may then do 2 other cars in the future.

Oops! I had to repaint the seats in black... (in different shades of grey, then).

Thanks to a picture that clearly demonstrate that the seats were not blue.

Are you going to change the box art now? ^_^
