Driving from Oregon to Georgia in late October naturally engenders worries about the weather that might be encountered until we get further south and east.

I've been monitoring the ten-day forecasts at weather.com for the major cities along our tentative route and I'm seeing much better forecasts than I was anticipating. There's not a mention of frozen precipitation on any of them and in fact, there are no freezing temps predicted as nightime lows. A fair amount of rain appears in the Oregon forecast, but it would have been surprising if that were not the case.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the weather will cooperate as forecasted.
