Hi fellas, here arepix of a nos chassis i got online. It is not the USA vintage 1960's era Dynamic, rather i think this is a Euro (?) issue due to the modern card and style. i wanted to use this to build up a retro Can-Am car. The issue: the rear axle tube is too small to hold today's standard 1/4" od bearing/oilites. Any idea of what bushings i can use? where i can buy them?

what fits in this rear axle tube is a 5/32" piece of K&S tubing......the header card reads: Dynamic DN22 Patriot X12 1/24 com turbo.

thanks for any help here!! :)

Hi Glenn,

I'm not sure of the sizes but Slick 7 has various adapter type bushings.

Glenn,

If you mean a 5/16" outer diameter, then just put a couple pieces of that in there to bush it down to 1/8". If it's a 5/16" inner diameter you mean, then I've got a couple sets of Dynamic bronze bearings with 3/16" outside diameter that should do the trick! These were made for one of their inline brackets I believe and is very much a sleeve type bearing....

Interesting chassis by the way. It may have been a late Dynamic US issue, don't think Dynamic ever had a European operation.

You probably meant Retro-Pro

That drop arm sure is 60's vintage otherwise I'd say it isn't the same "Dynamic" of the 60's

Hi

There have been several chassis sold in the last 15/20 years under the dynamic label for "box stock group 12", this looks like one.

there is a 3/32 inner bushing that several companies made to fit that.

I have not used this chassis, but have seen them around in various raceways.

Glenn
I just opened one that I have. The rear tube is 3/16" inside diameter, There may be solder or burrs at the ends of the tube, I had to use a 3/16" reamer to clean out the tube.

Made in South America?
Back of package reads, Dynamic Slot Car Ind. e Com. de Automodelos.

NCP Hobbies still has other Dynamic chassis listed. Welcome To The Dynamic Chassis Store

There is no relation between this "Dynamic" company based in brasil and the old Dynamic Models Inc based in Van Nuys, California.
This chassis is from the mid-late 1990's and can still be found new in some places. The faxt that it says "box stock Group 12" shows how recent it is since the 'box stock" concept dates from the late 1980's to begin with.
I would be surprised that it would not take the standard Parma oilite, 3/32" ID by 3/16" OD... that is pretty much universal across the planet except inside retarded countries still using the antiquated metric system.

For the ones who never smile, the last paragraph of this posting was a joke. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience to your regular unhapiness.

P, i did not say that it did not fit 3/32 x 3/16 oilites- that it did not take the 1/8 x 1/4 size, i willorder 3/16 od size, they should fit, thanks.
