How does one change out the brush and spring when the fingers are numb from diabetes?

I launched several springs and brushes trying to change out a set in my mega-g 1.5 chassis, I was using a fine set of tweezers.

My wife suggested I use a photo light tent to work in. Has any one tried that?  I am open to any suggestions so I don't need to have a constant order for parts from Terry in Florida

Does anyone make threaded brush barrels that you can install?

I have not worked on the Mega-G, but the brush barrel system is the same as other HO scale cars that have threaded brush barrels.

Try working inside a clear plastic box. That way when parts go flying the box will catch them. Also try tweezers and geezer goggles to help you see and grab stuff.
