Nice job, JJ.

Is the "777" what the 1968 price would have been?

The 777 is the owner's name which is on four other style chassis I built him, Sam.

I love building these things, Sam, and it lets racers who can't or don't wont to spend a lot on a chassis go fast and be competitive. While it would be nice to have a name Pro run them it's much more satisfying to have an average driver like myself get in the game...and go fast

With love,

JJ

Thought it might have been an homage to Jan Limpach's "888". The story is that it sold for $8.88 back in the day.

Good to see competitive chassis going out to the masses. You're the Johnny Appleseed of Retro.

I own one of Limpach's '888s', the first universally available brass/wire pro-type chassis. I paid $8.88 for it. When, my then local trackowner, couldn't get them from RECHO for awhile, I designed & built him chassis he could sell for $10. Twenty-five years later, at a 1997 Nats warmup race, I met a young fellow who said he had bought one of these chassis.

I got one in a lot of old brass 'n wire chassis'. Didn't know it was in there till I went through them.

Who knows,in 30 years guys will be talking about how they just got a "Jersey John" chassis on evil-bay.
