Very cool, John.

How did you acquire it?

I couldn't find anything about this model via search, though one someone painted did come up on a collectible auction site (not eBay).

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Nice one, John!

Can you tell more... is it a track side 'Goodie Booth' souvenir?

I got it years ago at an Indy toy show - It appears to have been red at one time - I have two more of these but they don't say speedway but are numbered 33 & 88 - I was told the Speedway car was a souvenir car sold at the speedway but I can't vouch for that - the other two I believe were made from the same mold that was modified like so many of these old cars were as the molds were purchased by others -They are approx 4-7/8"s long

I also have an Indy car that was sold as a souvenir in 1947, the year Nash was the pace car - it is marked Wilbur Shaw and Nash set the pace.
