I was talking with Samy of the Bordo club and asked if he had ever run wing cars, which were around for a short time in France... he said that he had, and had even built one back in 1982, but it was a little special... So he brought it in the next day and I shot a couple photos.

It never ran in a race, but looks like it would have been a Group 7, since there's no tag on the arm and the wire is pretty heavy. He remembered the motor as maybe a 27, but wasn't sure. Said it ran pretty well by the way, except in the tighter turns...

WOW talk about a tricky gear mesh.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.
