Just finished replacing the gold-coloured plastic model with the later issue metallic blue.

Turns out the gold (seen in the back) was extremely brittle and didn't stand up to the stress and strain of racing. Not sure how long the chrome doodads will stay on this one!

Very nice, Gary! Love the Vintage Iron looking cars. I have been known to shed a chrome bit or two as we get together for Vintage night.

I was wondering where you got the driver from?

This driver came from a Fujimi kit of 1/24 drivers or mechanics. I fit him to the car by sawing him into pieces and shortening parts, changing angles, and re-gluing before painting.

Sometimes I use Ulrich mini men which I heard were re-issued. I still have lots of those in 1/32 but not in 1/24.

He looks familiar,  here is my latest a 36 Ford with the same guy at the wheel.  He gets around.
