Nice to see they took the time and made improvements.

What is the circuitry for?

What is the circuitry for?

The circuit board serves 2 functions:

1.) It bridges the connection between the pick up shoes and motor

2.) It filters the frequency from the motor that can cause interference in other devices.

So the circuitry is to suppress Tennessee Valley Indians(TVI)? Or for you non CBrs, television interference. First HO I've seen with a Bic motor.

Thanks guys,  spell check reeked chaos on the article.  The motor is actually an FN20 (not sure why it changed that).  The rest are the result of me posting last night way past my normal bedtime:).

Thanks Dean for catching the motor number and he also mentioned the new guide pin location, being further forward.  I'll match up more of those details in the second article.

Also, Steve strongly recommends breaking the motor in at a lower speed for about 30 minutes.  Once the brushes seat in, the motor has about a 10% increase in power/performance.

Doesn't the can motor greatly limit what you can do to Hop Up the performance?

Cheers

Since this is a brand new motor format, it will take the after-market some time to catch up.  But I don't see these any more difficult to tinker with than the SRT or even the old Tyco HP-7 can motors.

there is a feller named Bob Lincoln, and he ain't called "Wizzard" for nothing...Ill health has him a bit side-lined from racing HO cars, however he

has a better "feel" for wee motors than almost anybody...given a bit of time with that can motor and you will certainly see a HEEP of difference..

And my guess is that if he doesn't like it....its a flop...Time will tell...
