Thank you, Ray, for all your help and personal kindness, you were as genuine as the work you soldered together. I will take your advice from our last correspondence and grow with it.

RIP.

I'll post again when I have more time, but I'll just say we had a lot of good times together and I was honored he stood up for Jackie and my wedding.

RIP, my good friend.

Mere words cannot assuage the loss of some one as special as Ray. Spending time with him at multiple R4s and Sanos you saw how big his heart was. Never did he refuse to help a fellow racer who asked for help, and many times volunteer to help when he saw another struggling. Most times sacrificing his own program to help others. More than many others he embodied the Chicago vibe of a big heart, big shoulders, and can do attitude. He will be greatly missed by me on a personal level and by many, many others.

Godspeed, my good friend.

Bill

Ray was a very nice guy. The first time we met he complimented my Sunoco Lola, which looked good but didn't run so well.

Rest in peace, Ray.

It's sunny here in the Atlanta area today for the first time in almost two weeks, but when I heard the new that we'd lost Ray, my day assumed a darkness and a coldness that has nothing to do with the actual weather.

Ray and I became friends long before Slotblog was created. It's a little fuzzy in my memory but I'm pretty sure my "TurboFlex Tome" chassis blueprinting instructions were originally written to send to Ray.

Gonna miss Ray more than I can communicate... but I'm sure he's enjoying becoming reacquainted with a bunch of his friends at the big raceway in Heaven.

Swiss, how's about memorializing Ray in some way at the Sano?

Raymond was the best. He was always quietly helping someone. His sense of humor was almost always on point.

Although I did not know Ray when we were young we did hang out at the same slot car track, the original Parma International on Pearl Avenue.

My friend, you will be missed by more than just a few of us. Say hello to the big guy when you meet him

Amigos,

Very sad day losing Manta Ray Price. I have met him once at the R4. A pure stranger that I was to him, he introduced himself to me and said if you any help just ask. A good guy that we lost today but should be remember in our hearts. Vaya con Dios mi Amigo.
