Here is the schedule for RetroPalooza 6 held this year at Hudson Valley Raceway in Hyde Park, NY. Yanno, the annual meeting of the "families". The reigning Don, Chris Radisich, will attempt as others have in the past to defend his title. 

 

All races are on the King (currently only track in the store).

 

Pit Pass $10 for all days including Wednesday.

 

Thursday, May 28 - Raceway will be open at 9 AM.
7 PM - Tech opens for RetroPro. SCRRA rules. Entry fee $20. Will not count toward the Championship. Tier 1 format.

Can-Am Plus 30 minutes after RetroPro A Main – IRRA® Rules. Entry fee $15.  Will not count toward the Championship. Tier 2 format.

Friday, May 29 - Raceway will be open at 7 AM. All further events run under IRRA® rules.

Stock Cars & GTC

  8 AM - GTC FK and GTC-Pro hand-out motors distributed (JK Hawk Retro motors). Entry fee $30 and includes one motor. A second motor may be purchased for $11.

  9:30 AM - Tech opens for Stock Car. Entry fee $20. Tier 2 format - qualify and run for laps.

  GTC-FK - Tech will open one hour after Stock Car A Main. Tier 2 format.

  GTC-Pro - Tech will open one hour after the GTC-FK A Main. Entry fee $20. Winner of the of the GTC-FK main will get free entry into the GTC-Pro race. Tier 2 format.

Saturday, May 30 - Raceway will open at 7 AM.
  Can-Am  - Tech will open at 10 AM. Entry fee $20. Tier 1 rules apply - qualifying and move-ups.

Sunday, May 31 - Raceway will open at 7 AM.
  Formula 1 -  Tech will open at 10 AM. Entry fee $20. Tier 1 rules apply - qualifying and move-ups.

Will there be sufficient practice time after the Thursday races? Trying to put a game plan IF I can make it. I would be there Thursday but not in time for either race.

Yes there will be.  Based on the fact you got down Tom Thumb pretty well this will be a piece of cake!

Jim and I will again attend the RP6 race this May!

 

We have alreday booked the flights to the US for the trip and are very much looking forward to seeing you guys again! It will be fun as usual.

 

I have a question though! Is it the usual manner to give your Credit card number to Hotels when you book over the phone if the Golden Manor Hotel doesn't have a web based booking system?

BTW: for anyone who has not booked a hotel yet, I was up at HVR 2 weekends ago and drove by the Golden Manor hotel, and it seems pretty nice for a little "mom and pop" kind of place.   The prices on the "chain" hotels seems to be coming down just a bit, but don't expect any bargains as Vassar University in Poughkeepsie has it's graduation that weekend and most hotels have their rates jacked up.

Just so everyone knows: Rear tire diameter for Formula 1 will be .790 and rear clearance will be .040.

 

Also, try to park alongside the building and not block all the other stores parking spaces.
