Long time slot racer Jay Kisling is in the ICU and his prognosis is grim.

Your prayers are needed for one of the fiercest competitors ever to hold a controller.

Sorry to hear this. Jay used to come up to Manchester frequently to race CASRA cars. He always had a joke or two to tell.

Greatest guy in slots. Most who have raced against him know the great competitor he is.

Some may even know how funny he can be. (Keeping my rear end laughing all week.)

But, I doubt all know what a kind and generous man Jay really is.

God bless you, Jay.

Jay,

Godspeed for your quick recovery.

I remember and loved racing with and against Jay in the old Keystone Series, Jay was the kind of person who would nerf you off in a corner and if your car was damaged he would work all day fixing it for you.

I remember people by some of the funny things I shared with them. I remember racing at a raceway in Woodbridge owned by Jerry Jackness and Jay was there, we were talking about the evils and art of racing the old pink endbell Parma 16Ds. Jay looked at me as serious as it gets and said if somebody would steal his real car he would just ask them to leave that box of special Parma arms.

Jay, get well soon, this hobby needs the independent thinkers like you.

Only met Jay once while I was spectating at the Sano in 2011. He was a fierce competitor on the track, but very passionate about slot cars in general while in the pits.

Wishing Jay and those close to him the very best!
