Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

But the next title is "The International Safety and Performance Trials" with a "NASCAR Sanctioned" logo.
Racing had a bad name in 1957, due to the Le Mans tragedy a few years earlier. It was also the year GM (and the AMA) got out of "factory racing" for a while.
This video is presented and formatted to de-emphasize the racing and danger parts as much as possible (not easy to do when part of the subject is a race), so as to be more "PC" for the times.

Inspection and sealing. Check out the wire/lead crimp seal being installed and the bundle of wire seals hanging.
That is exactly the way and where my Wall Stadium built motors were sealed. The left front two manifold bolts had to have the hex heads cross drilled for the wire. The lead seal had a hole for the loose end and was crimped after running the wire through the holes.
