Is this motor now legal in all classes or not? Red Valentine AKA bluecars said it was legal in all classes now.
I don't if he meant for IRRA® or for what they are running at Talladega

It is being run in some of Ron H's RETRO (Retro ElecTric Racing Organization) classes, and is used in IRRA® Can-Am Plus.

If you are referring to "Retro Electric Racing Organization", Slotblog doesn't have a subforum for that, in which case your post should be placed here: HERE.

My Saturday night special for the private track runs this motor, a C21, and a Bentlee GTP body - this car whips all Hawks, Falcons, and Evils so far.

Bud, we still don't know what retro rule set you are referring to, as there are so many of them.
You placed your post in "Retro Racing", which encompasses many different groups and sub groups.
If you mean IRRA® then that would be an easy answer. But I refuse to just guess.
Unless the above posters are reading your mind there is absolutely no way they know what rule set your question pertains to.
I can't disagree with Cap's post because it is factual, but any others would merely be guessing.

Bud; You should get your facts straight before saying that I said something. It's not like you have no way to get ahold of me. That is NOT what I said. What I said was "The way I read the IRRA motor list for each class there is a NOTE: under motor types that reads, No other motors will be allowed unless approved by the IRRA and added to the Approved motor list. That list has that motor added to it." That's what I said.
Bobby; I don't know how you could say anything goes at Talladega. I don't remember seeing you at the only Retro race we've had so far. Please let me know what you base your opinion on. The only thing that differs from IRRA is the Stock Car tire width that the guys run in Tenn. They DID come.
Like my sister says "You can fart at one end of town when you get to the other end you've $h_t your pants." Hope this clears up any miss understandings.

In his 'Myth of Sisyphus', written in 1942, Albert Camus first defined the human situation as basically meaningless and absurd. The 'absurd' plays ('Waiting for Godot' and the like) all share the view that man inhabits a universe with which he is out of key. Its meaning is indecipherable and his place within it is without purpose. He is bewildered, troubled and obscurely threatened.
Accordingly, 4002FK is on the IRRA motor list but the only class it's allowed in is CanAm plus. Mr. Hershman and friends, on the other hand, consider 4002FK the panacea for all that ails you.
Y'all pays yer money and takes yer pick.

Local tracks also run 'house rules' outside of "OFFICIAL SANCTIONED" races. Good thing to have in the toolbox if you are traveling to visit new territory.....just in case.
We run them in 180-200 gram hardbody cars also.

At Talladega we run Can-AM, Formula 1, Retro Stock Car; if you look under the motors for those class' it does not mention the 4000FK for those class. This might be a good time to re-read the updated rules. IRRA clearly states that the 4000FK is Pro racing; just like some of the Can-Am bodies
At Talladega we let the .790 tires run.
We run the 4002 with Chinese arm as long if the seal tape has not been messed with!

BOBBY; My bad, I guess I just try to put people out of my mind that beat me. LOL. Come on back and do it again. I'll try to have something for you next time. I might be starting to get the hang of this Retro stuff. It helps to get beat so I can see what's beating me.
