Hi:
I'm disturbing again with my figures.
Now I've begun my new projected figure in 1:43 scale "Gilles Villeneuve":

I can't vouch for the resemblance, but I think it's AWESOME that you can get that kind of detail in a 1/43 driver head.

Would you consider doing some carvings of 1/32 and 1/24 heads from pictures? I'd bet there would be some of us who would love to put our own heads driving our slot cars. What a kick that would be...

Good idea. I think it's possible. I always work with pictures and this would be similar work.
But the price is so different as for a mass production head. We're talking about of a "one of the kind" work.
Thanks a lot Marcus.

You're absolutely right -- I'd expect that the cost of such work would be higher than for a mass-produced version. However, I'd regard it in much the same way as I do the bodies painted by Noose, Jairus, and others...

"The worker is worthy of his wages" -- a Bible quote which has stood the test of time.

PM me if you think it would be something that would interest you. I'd like to learn more.

I've re-sculpted the figure and maybe now looks a bit more similar to Gilles:

Finally I've finished the complete figure of Gilles in 1/43 scale (36/37mm height).
Sincerely, this was the best I can get:

Almost looks like a cross between Keke Rosberg and Gilles. But very nice job.

Close enough.

Thank you very much, Bugeye, for your words.

Yes, I can't get an exactly replica of Villeneuve's face.
