I can't imagine how much trial and error it took to get trucks running as good as they do. Wonder if the guide is locked into the slot.

Have used the track and trucks at a few charity events and "Fates" to attract members to our slot car club, the "East Devon Slot Racing Club". There are no magnets or springs attached to the the trucks, the guides just stay in the slot, most of the time, just due to the free action of the drop arm's. The drop arms are about 4 inches long on most of my trucks made from K&S brass strip.

More "trial and error" goes into making the obstacles that most of the trucks can get over most of the time.
