This Saturday should provide a bit of a unique experience for us...

We've had some interest from some newcomers who want to learn more about 1/24 racing without making a huge investment. So, we're trying a new class this month: Run What Ya Brung Six-Second Breakout. Any chassis; any body; any motor. Just don't go faster than six seconds or the lap won't count. If the lap counter reads "6.001," you should be just fine. Should be a lot of fun, and a great way for the new guys to get a taste of Slots of Fun's Grandstand track.

Tech should open by 10:00 with racing soon to follow.

Next up will be the retro 7-68 Can Am class. I swear those new FK motors scream.

Last up will be our flexi class using Retro Hawk motors and GTP bodies. We ran out of the CoT bodies, so we're using Don's vast supply of GTPs. The rules otherwise remain the same as before. We might even see our lap times improve a little with the better downforce. Only time will tell.

If you have a chance, come join us this Saturday, April 4 at Slots of Fun in Abbeville, South Carolina. A great little town with lots to do within walking distance of the track. And you won't believe Don's shop. If you need something for your slot car box, he probably has it.

See you soon.

I've been advised by our organizers that the six-second breakout race will be postponed until the May 2 competition. Therefore, our race lineup for this Saturday will be:

1. Flexi/Hawk Retro with GTP

2. 7-68 Can Am

3. Retro F1 using PD motors

All races are run on the soon-to-be-famous Slots of Fun Grandstand track. Come join us for fun and fellowship --- and racing, too.
